Glastonbury EMS provides medical care to the residents and visitors of Glastonbury 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Since its founding in 1957, we have helped thousands of patients and saved countless lives. In addition, we offer American Heart Association CPR and First Aid training, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) classes, use of naloxone and Babysitting classes to community groups and residents.
Our independent non-profit organization is not a town agency. Almost all of our income is from patients who have insurance or pay out of pocket when we transport them to the hospital. Currently patients are not charged if we do not transport them to the hospital. Our fees are set by the State of Connecticut Office of Emergency Medical Services.
Glastonbury EMS has 4 ambulances, each with an expected lifespan of 5 years. The average cost of an ambulance is between $150,000 to $250,000 depending on the type of vehicle. Your donation to help with the purchase of an ambulance is greatly appreciated.
Your donation will continue this life saving community service.
Glastonbury EMS is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization and your donation may qualify as tax deductible.
