Glastonbury EMS is an independent non-profit organization whose purpose is to provide emergency medical care to the individuals within the Town of Glastonbury. The organization is composed of volunteer members with State of Connecticut certification or license at the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Advanced Emergency Medical Technician (AEMT) or Paramedic level.
To become a Member you must:
Be at Least 18 years of Age
Have a valid Connecticut Driver’s License for a minimum of 2 Years, along with a good driving record
Have current CPR
Have current State of Connecticut EMT, AEMT, Paramedic Certification or License
Pass a Background Check
Pass a Physical Exam
Be able to commit to riding a minimum of (3) three-shifts per month. (A shift is 12 hours)
Complete the Provisional Training Period to become an Active Technical Member
